How the site processes data and how you can manage analytical cookies.

Who processes your data?

Vedran Stanić is responsible for processing personal data on this unofficial website (the data controller). The website does not represent co-owners or building managers.

Site contact: Vedran Stanić, vedranstanic82@gmail.com.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is enabled only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). It measures visits, traffic sources and the popularity of content. Declining does not restrict your use of the website.

After you accept, Google receives a network request containing your IP address and data such as a browser identifier, the page visited, visit time, approximate location and device type. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Analytics data is nevertheless not necessarily anonymous.

With your consent, we also record search terms entered on this site and clicks on its public files. A click does not confirm a completed download. Terms are sent after a brief pause in typing; entries containing numbers, email addresses, web addresses or more than 80 characters are omitted. Do not enter personal data in the search. Automatic enhanced measurement remains disabled, as do Google advertising signals and ad personalization. Query parameters and fragments are removed from page and file addresses; only the referring origin is sent. We do not send form or message contents.

Your choice

Before acceptance, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics requests are sent to it. The “Accept” and “Decline” buttons are equally accessible. You can change your choice or withdraw consent through “Analytics settings” in the footer. Withdrawal deletes accessible analytics cookies, stops measurement and reloads the page.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing and does not by itself erase data already sent to Google. Contact the site to request erasure; identifying a particular visit may not be possible without additional information.

What is stored and for how long?

Your consent choice is stored in the browser’s local storage as blok-analytics-consent, together with the time of your choice and the policy version. Both acceptance and rejection are valid for 180 days; you are then asked again. This storage is necessary to respect your choice and is not used for tracking. The record may remain in the browser until replaced or manually deleted, but is no longer valid after expiry.

The _ga cookie distinguishes visitors, while _ga_… stores session information. They are set only after acceptance. The website sets their lifetime to 180 days, without automatically extending it on every visit. Your browser may remove them earlier.

In the Google Analytics account, event data retention is 2 months and user data retention is 14 months. Resetting user data retention on new activity is enabled. These periods do not limit most standard aggregate reports. Google’s data retention period is separate from the lifetime of cookies and consent in your browser.

Display preferences you choose, such as layer visibility in the Walk, may be stored locally to preserve your selected view. They remain until changed or until you clear the website’s data in your browser and are not sent to Google Analytics as those preferences.

Recipients and data transfers

For Google Analytics, the recipient is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, together with affiliates and subprocessors involved in providing the service. Processing may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States.

Google describes the applicable transfer mechanisms, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, in its information on international transfers. Also read the data processing terms and Google’s privacy policy.

Website operation and your messages

When you open the website, the server and hosting provider process your IP address and technical request data to deliver content and protect against misuse. The basis is the legitimate interest in secure website operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server request and error logs are rotated daily, keeping at most 14 archived logs and the current log. Empty logs are not rotated, so this does not guarantee deletion after 14 days. Data preserved for a security incident is retained as needed to resolve it or protect legal claims.

If you send an email, your address, name if provided, message and attachments are processed to respond and resolve your enquiry. The site contact receives messages through Gmail. The basis is a legitimate interest in communicating at your request. Messages are retained while needed to resolve the enquiry and related follow-up or to protect legal claims; unnecessary data should be deleted or anonymized. Sending a message does not automatically constitute consent to publish personal data.

You can also contact the site to request correction or removal of personal data in public photographs, observations and other records. Each request is assessed in light of the circumstances of publication and the applicable rights.

Fonts and external links

DM Sans and Fraunces fonts are served by this website. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts to display them. Opening an external link, such as a map, petition or social network, takes you to a service with its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances of processing, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. The website does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Send your request to vedranstanic82@gmail.com. A response is normally provided within one month; if complexity requires an extension, you will receive notice and an explanation. A proportionate identity check may be necessary to protect the data.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
